Whether you’re in your home country or in the middle of scaling, you are going to need SDRs. They really are the lifeblood of many organisations and have the ability to get your product or service out to genuine prospects while promoting your brand at the same time. You would be lost without them. They are one of your most valuable assets. Unfortunately though, they are also an expensive resource in both time and money. For example, if you have your own SDRs, not only do you have to train them and give them time to become successful but there’s also the recruitment and selection headache, onboarding and mentoring. All in all, you’ll be looking at upwards of a hundred thousand Euros per SDR. On top of this, the more successful the SDRs you hire are, the more difficult it is to retain them. SDRs are notoriously difficult to keep hold of. They are ambitious by nature and that means their heads can easily be turned by what may, on the face of things at least, appear to be a better opportunity. And of course, the harsh reality of that is that SDRs are experts in finding better opportunities. It’s why we hire them in the first place. Secondly, and in what is possibly the biggest irony in this business, is whenever an SDR excels in their position they are immediately promoted out of it and the process of finding a replacement starts all over again. If it was happening to someone else, you’d laugh. So, bearing in mind the struggle of this repetition, there is presumably a good argument for looking at other options. One of those options and a way to lose the stress while staying in full control would be to look at outsourcing.
If you outsource your SDR operations, you get a readymade solution where the recruits only need to be trained on your product or solution, not on the basis of tech. And of course, because they need no training, they can get your operations up and running within a couple of weeks rather than a few months. Also, you can remove the problems of search and selection as we have SDRs who are local to wherever you’re scaling to. To qualify that, we can provide you with SDRs if you’re scaling to the US, further throughout Europe of even if you’re just entering the Asia Pacific region. So, as you already know, not only do they speak the local language, but they also understand the culture and the business nuances of the market. What’s more, because they work in the market every day, they are armed with a list of contacts which means they can rapidly identify genuine prospects for your product or service. On top of that, if you so desired, you could even use an SDRaaS team to test the market’s appetite for your product without you ever having to set foot in the new territory. And, with no long term contracts, you have the flexibility to scale up or down as you wish and should you want to terminate the service, there are no lengthy exit clauses. This means that outsourcing is inevitably cheaper and less risky than trying to go it alone.
